In early April, when Spring was just showing her face and I was beginning to pack boxes for our move, I made this cocktail that I posted on Facebook:
I called it the Renovation because I was tired after a long day of house planning (how little did I know! It was not long one long day but a long month - the first of several!). There was no wine to be opened in the house but there was a lonely Florida grapefruit in the fruit bowl and a half-empty bottle of Campari in the way-back of the little-used liquor cabinet. I mixed, I drank, and I was happy. It was Spring in my mouth.
10 days later, David Lebovitz posted his own Campari and Grapefruit combo: A sorbet. Yum!
If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it !
